Training on “Development of local networking and exchange of good practices between the providers of psychosocial support to torture victims and civilian victims of war”
Documenta – Centre for Dealing with the Past in cooperation with M.A.R.E Center held training “Development of local networking and exchange of good practices between the providers of psychosocial support to torture victims and civilian victims of war” in Roving, from 11th to 13th of September 2015. Training is a part of wider efforts of advocating the right to compensation of civilian war victims with adequate rehabilitation and integration into society.
Goal of this training is exchange of experience in providing legal, medical, psychiatric, psychological, psychosocial support and rehabilitation of victims of torture and civilian war victims.
The purpose of the training is networking and cooperation with the help of which we can identify, connect and build quality approaches to better meet the needs of victims of torture and civilian victims of war through an integrated psychological and legal support, through the development of local networking and exchange of good practice. Training brought together experts in the field of social processes of reconstruction of community affected with war, destruction and various losses, as well as to the changing circumstances of life and value system that comes along with the process of social transition. Reviewing the work of individual organizations in Istria and Dalmatia enabled networking of providers of legal and psycho-social support.
