Kristallnacht Remembrance Meeting

On Thursday, November 9th, at 6 PM, at the Square of the Victims of Fascism, the Antifascist League of Croatia is organizing a remembrance meeting in the honor of Kristallnacht, a pogrom which took place in Germany and Austria 78 years ago.

Unfortunately, this is not just an ancient event “which cannot happen to us”. 

All the “basic ingredients” for “preparing” similar events exist in today’s world: hatred towards others and those who are different, dehumanization of them through aggressive nationalistic propaganda, and intolerance where compassion should be.

We invite you to come to our meeting which should remind us of all that and which should be an expression of our determination to make the future different.
