Last respects to Jelka Glumičić (1941 – 2020)

Dear Jelka, with your care, kindness and tireless demand for respect for the human rights of the humiliated and insulted, you have ennobled everyone who was present at one of public conversations that you organized in Karlovac, regardless of whether the speaker was your fellow citizen Slavko Goldstein or one of the poets you loved. You gave some of your enthusiasm to all participants in civic initiatives and humanitarian actions, and you were a rare light and hope to the victims of injustice. We say goodbye to you with sadness and gratitude, remembering your generosity and smile. We celebrate your non-violent heartfelt contribution to the more humane face of Karlovac, Croatia and the world.
