Documenta – Centre for dealing with the past, in cooperation with the Italian civic society organization Lapsus (Laboratorio Lapsus) is happy to invite teachers, educators, youth workers, and other interested people to the workshop “Young people narrate local history”.

The workshop will take place on Wednesday, February 11, from 16:00h to 18:00h at the House of Human Rights, Selska Cesta 112c, Zagreb.

Join us to explore together the past of our cities and discuss visible and invisible forms of memorialization around us.

Educators will be provided with practical knowledge on involving students in co-creation of city tours that turn historical sources or testimonies into unique audio guides. The participants will test the methodology created by our colleagues from Lapsus, learning on the example of Strade Resistenti (Streets of Resistance), a participatory project on memory and solidarity in Milan.

The workshop will also support educators to create their own city tours to explore Zagreb during WWII with their students. Educators will create their own audio content, improving their knowledge on audio recording and editing. No previous knowledge is needed.

The workshop will be held in the English language. Croatian translation will be provided if needed.

To register, please complete this application form until February 8th, 2026.

The workshop is organized in the framework of the project “PATH – Participatory Approaches to Training in History”, financed by the European Union through the program Erasmus+.
